Production

The aim is to correct misaligned teeth in a minimally invasive manner by wearing the splints in a fixed order. Our aligners are manufactured using cutting-edge technology and proven materials. A special software support enables personalization even in difficult cases. Precise processing of the data and meticulous quality control ensure an excellent fit, excellent durability and a virtually invisible treatment. The aligner therapy consists of the following steps:

Treatment Plan Preparation

Your teeth will be examined and individual peculiarities will be discussed. A 3D digital scan of your teeth is created. Her smile is also photographed. Both are used to create an individual treatment plan.

Alignment on Treatment Plan

Together we will align on the treatment plan that has been drawn up and use a 3D model to show you in advance what your future smile will look like. Here we agree with you how the position of the teeth will look best with your natural facial features. The treatment plan contains the time planning and an overview of all costs, including the care and stabilization phase.

Production

After you approve the treatment plan, the aligners are manufactured using a state-of-the-art process using proven Essix material.

Treatment

We accompany you throughout the entire aligner therapy – from start to finish. This means that we are available to answer your questions and measure progress with regular check-ups in our practice. The check-up appointments and answering the questions are already covered in the treatment plan. So you play it safe.

Stabilization

Normally, an individual night splint is made to stabilize the result. A retainer is an alternative to a night splint. Both options will be discussed with you individually. This is also already included in the treatment plan.

FAQ

  • Aligners are individually made and are worn loosely on the teeth. Before the splints are made, a scan of the dentition is carried out.

The software can then calculate which rail shapes are required at what time. As a rule, an aligner therapy consists of 12-14 pairs of splints. The pairs of splints are adjusted in such a way that the teeth are corrected step by step.

The splints must be worn at least 21 hours a day and must be removed before eating. The splints are hardly noticeable visually or when speaking.

After the therapy, a temporary night splint is recommended to stabilize the result.

  • We work exclusively with renowned providers whose hardware and software are closely linked to our devices. This means that we can have aligners made to the highest standard, which deliver an excellent fit and excellent results.

We also refrain from working with providers with high advertising and marketing expenses and select strictly according to quality. We pass this quality and cost advantage on to our patients.

We also attach great importance to personal support. We plan regular check-ups and comprehensively measure the progress of your treatment.

In addition, we give you a complete overview of the time and cost planning at the beginning of the treatment with our treatment plan - you remain in control of your future smile from start to finish.

  • In our aligner therapy, we work together with SureSmile® from Dentsply Sirona. Dentsply Sirona is one of the leading companies in the field of high-quality dental products and technologies.

SureSmile® is fully integrated into our 3D X-ray system and our interoral scanner. The production of the aligners is therefore integrated at the highest level and delivers consistently excellent results.

In addition, when choosing our partner, we made sure that the high-quality Essix plastic is used for the aligner production. This ensures excellent power transmission for tooth correction.

  • Invasalign® is one of several providers of aligner solutions.

In our practice, we work exclusively with Dentsply Sirona's SureSmile® solution because of our positive experiences with the effectiveness and reliability of their aligner therapies.

  • All splints are individually made and offer a high level of comfort. Changing the splints takes place according to a fixed treatment plan and is accompanied by us.

However, you may feel slight pressure points on your teeth when inserting a new splint. This is normal as your teeth are being moved.

The feeling of pressure usually goes away within the first day.

  • The splints are transparent and almost invisible. Essix plastic, which is known for its very good properties in aesthetic tooth corrections, is used to manufacture the aligners.

  • Unfortunately, this cannot be answered in general, as it always depends on the respective case.

In your personal treatment plan, you will be provided with the exact schedule as well as a graphic representation that shows the entire treatment process step by step.

  • The cost of aligner therapy varies from case to case.

Many supplementary dental insurance companies and health insurance companies now cover the costs of an Aigner treatment.

However, since the services differ from health insurance company to health insurance company, this must be requested from your individual insurance company.

The overall overview of the costs will be discussed in advance in the course of the treatment plan. We offer a general overview of the entire therapy.

  • A wearing time of 21 hours is recommended. Before eating, the splints must be removed.

  • The time from which a splint is changed to a new one is based on our individual treatment plan. This is usually two weeks.

  • No. It is possible to check on uncomplicated installment agreements.

  • Depending on the treatment plan, so-called attachments (tooth-colored composite structures) may have to be attached to the tooth surface. These are individually shaped based on your personal 3D treatment plan and placed on your teeth.

In places where sufficient power transmission from the splint to the tooth is not possible, the attachments ensure that additional pressure points are created, which are necessary for optimized power transmission in order to move the tooth into the desired position.

After the treatment, the attachments are completely removed again.
